Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
